Ensign Sovok, prepare to engage Star Trek: Hidden Evil for the PC. It is your duty as a recent graduate of Starfleet Command to seek out new life and new civilizations. This time, however, your missions involve outwitting alien forces such as the Son'a and Romulans before they plot to harness the destructive powers of a coveted genetic seed that will ultimately befall the Federation.
While graduating from the top one percentile of the graduating Zulu class, your human genes coupled with your Vulcan upbringing would surprise just about anyone. But don't let that get in your way nor allow others to think of you otherwise, for you must learn and perform your duties if you want that starship assignment.
Outpost 40 is a new space station situated near a distant Federation region known as the Briar Patch. It was built to protect this vital area where the Ba'ku race continues to remain young due to the metaphasic radiation rings that preserve life. The Ba'ku Planet is now a protectorate guarded by this outpost. We have the utmost confidence in your skills to uphold the traditions of the Federation and help us excavate the recent reconstruction of this site. Now proceed with caution, Ensign.
Taking place just after the events from the movie Star Trek: Insurrection, Star Trek: Hidden Evil is a mission-based action adventure game that starts you off in the Holodeck in which your first training course involves mastering the Vulcan Nerve Pinch. Throughout the game you will be mainly operating under orders from Captain Picard or Commander Data in exploring the outpost, the Son'a Colony and other strange phenomena. You can always review your mission logs from the Data Library or your Mission Orders icon in your inventory.
