Quake II Mission Pack: Ground Zero is developer Rogue Entertainment's second add-on for the Quake franchise. Their 1997 award
winning Dissolution of Eternity add-on for Quake was considered by many to exceed the original in quality and gameplay. In
Ground Zero, players must destroy the Gravity Well, fighting hordes of Strogg monstrosities from the bio-vats in 14 levels (not
including an additional ten deathmatch levels). Enemies include Stalker, Turret, Daedalus, Medic Commander, Carrier, and the
The mission pack features a host of new weapons, equipment and environments. The arsenal now includes a chainsaw, plasma
beam, Proximity Launcher and ETF rifle, as well as new supplies like flechettes (ETF rifle), proximity mines, and Tesia mines. In
deathmatch, new power up items include Vengeance Spheres, Hunter Spheres, anti-matter bombs, and a Doppelganger mirror
image to confuse the enemy in addition to other items like double damage, IR goggles and a Defender Sphere.
Special Features: New enemies the stalker, turrets, daedalus, medic commander, carrier and the black widow; 14 entirely new
levels and 10 new deathmatch levels; new power-ups deathmatch specific power-ups: Vengeance Sphere, Hunter Sphere and
Anti-matter bomb; new weapons the chainsaw, etf rifle and plasma beam.
